How we pick

  1. 1

    We read the label

We read each label to find the real dose in a serving. When NIH’s label database lists the product, we check it there too.

  2. 2

    We check the testing lists

We look each product up on USP, NSF and Informed Choice. These groups test products: some check that the bottle matches the label, some check for drugs banned in sport.

  3. 3

    We compare the cost

We compare the cost of the same dose, not the price of the bottle, so a cheap bottle with a tiny dose does not win.

Testing status comes from the lists above. Found a mistake? See our corrections.
