Data We Collect Directly
We do not require accounts, and we do not sell personal information. We do not ask for your name or postal address. If you email us or submit a form, we receive whatever you put in it — an email address, for example — and use it only to reply to you.
Third parties we rely on for analytics and advertising do set cookies and receive limited technical data about your visit. Those are described below.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how visitors arrive. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_<id>) that hold a randomly generated identifier so repeat visits can be counted as one visitor rather than several. It also receives your approximate location derived from IP address, your device and browser type, the page you are on, and the site or app that referred you.
We use this only in aggregate. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors, and we do not upload or join any personally identifying information to it. You can prevent Google Analytics entirely with Google's browser opt-out add-on.
Advertising
This site carries third-party display advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertising is what keeps the reference content on this site free to read.

Amazon's privacy policy governs data collection on amazon.com. We do not receive any personal information about your Amazon purchases — our reporting shows only aggregate click and order counts, never who bought what.

APIs
Our public APIs (recommendation API, form classifier, product feeds) do not require authentication and do not log personally identifiable information. API request logs contain only timestamps and requested URLs for performance monitoring.
Chrome Extension (Supplement Checker)
What the Extension Does
The Supplement Checker extension analyzes supplement product pages on Amazon.com. It reads the product title, description, and ingredient information on your device only to identify the supplement form and provide evidence-based analysis.
Data Collection
The extension collects no data. Specifically:
- No browsing history is collected or transmitted
- No personal information is collected
- No data is sent to our servers or any third party
- All analysis happens locally in your browser
- The evidence database is bundled with the extension, not fetched remotely
The analytics and advertising described above apply to this website only. They are not present in the extension.
Permissions
The extension requests permission to run on Amazon.com product pages only. It does not access any other websites. It uses storage.sync to save your medication list (if you choose to enter one) — this data stays in your Chrome profile and is never sent to us.
Affiliate Disclosure
Links to verifiedsupplementdata.com comparison pages from the extension may contain affiliate links. This is clearly disclosed in the extension interface. The extension does not modify Amazon product pages, inject affiliate links into Amazon, or alter any existing links.

The August 15, 2026 revision corrected the analytics section — an earlier version described Cloudflare Web Analytics and stated that no tracking cookies were used, which did not match what the site actually runs — and added the advertising and cookie disclosures above.
