What the trials found
LGG, Culturelle’s strain, cut diarrhea from antibiotics from 22% to 12% across 11 trials; the drop was clear in children and too uncertain to count on in adults (Szajewska 2015). It also lowered gut and respiratory infections in children in hospital (Hojsak 2010). Seed says it has tested its full formula in its own trials. We did not find it in the outside reviews we read.
What the price gap costs you
Seed costs 3.3 times as much a day, about $511 more a year, at each brand’s own one-time price.

Questions
Is Seed worth it vs Culturelle?
For most people, no. Culturelle’s single strain, LGG, has outside trials, and Culturelle is on USP Verified. Seed names 24 strains and says it has run its own trials of the full formula.
Does Seed have more CFU than Culturelle?
More cells, counted a different way: 53.6 billion AFU (live cells counted by a lab machine) against 10 billion CFU. A bigger count is not more proof; trial results belong to the strain tested.
Should I take Seed and Culturelle together?
We found no research on taking them together. Pick one. If you take any medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist first.
