Enormous Catalog, Thin Certification

NOW Foods is the widest catalog we track by far. We found 112 NOW products spanning 89 of our categories, from copper to gamma E tocotrienols. Almost nothing else in our data comes close to that breadth.

The certification picture is the opposite story. Just 11 of those 112 products, 10%, list a certification in our catalog. 9 of them are NPA GMP facility certification, an audit of the manufacturing plant, not a lab test of this specific bottle.

NOW's labels frequently mention GMP compliance on their own. That claim is common across supplements generally, and it is not the same as USP Verified or NSF Certified for Sport. Those programs test the finished product, not just the factory.
